TOUR DETAILS

First option:

Half Day Afternoon Tour:

Pick up from the hotel at 13:30 and drive to Saklikent Gorge. Saklikent Gorge, Hidden City, is the longest and deepest gorge in Turkey - 18 km long and so steep and narrow that the sun does not penetrate the water, leaving it deliciously icy-cold in the summer. Once inside, water-sculpted limestone canyon walls soar above you. Saklikent Gorge is a beautiful place and a great place to explore. Be sure to bring submersible shoes as you will sometimes be walking in shallow water or mud. The gorge is approached along a long wooden boardwalk above the river. Once inside, you reach the Ulupinar springs where water bubbles up under great force from the base of the cliffs and you wade across the river into the gorge proper to begin your walk. The walk is easy for four km, after that a rock slide blocks the passage for all except rock climbers. Before driving back to town, according to your request, spare time for a delicious fresh local trout meal at one of the restaurant over the rushing river.

Second Option:

Full Day Tour:

Pick up from the hotel and drive to one of the Taurus Mountain plateaus. The mountains in southwest Turkey range between 3,000 feet up to almost 11,000 feet. The two mountain ranges (Bey and Akdag), where ancient Lycia was once located, are beautiful places of fresh air, mild breezes, clear ice-cold springs and lakes, soaring peaks, alpine pastures and mountain valleys. This area is very rich with flora and fauna - particularly from April until the end of June. The types of flora vary with the altitude. A visit to a nomad village; beside the great beauty of the Taurus Mountains, also you will be introduced to the peoples of the highlands - something few travelers experience.

Drive back to Antalya, transfer to the hotels.
